The Escort Redline radar detector is Escort's most sensitive (greatest range) portable radar detector that is also 100% stealth. Shielding all emmissions means that no matter what upgrades police do to their RDDs (radar detector detectors) they will not be able to detect this unit. So outside of Western Australia, where the police use RDDs, this unit can not be detected. Whilst it does provide excellent long range detection of highway patrol cars, and very good detection of K-band speed cameras on the East Coast, it is NOT recommended for use in WA as the detection of the Multanova speed camera is poor. The Multanova speed cameras are only used in Western Australia, and are being phased out.

Escort's team of engineers has created the most sensitive radar/laser detector they have ever made. RedLine provides the longest range for every signal out there. Its twin-antennae design allows it to maximize performance by band, giving you the longest warning possible.

The ESCORT RedLine is the most advanced radar, laser and safety detector ever designed by ESCORT. The ESCORT RedLine includes full X, K, SuperWide Ka, and Safety Warning System radar capability, front and rear laser detection, dual antennae with varactor-tuned (VTO) microwave receiver, digital signal processing (DSP) for superior range and reduced false alarms, our patented Mute and AutoMute, audible and visual band alerts, and all the performance you’d expect from ESCORT.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I am not comfortable using your online ordering, how can you help?

We understand that many people are uncomfortable with using their credit card online. Especially with stories such as the credit card skimming on the McDonalds EFTPOS terminals being compromised around Australia late 2009 / early 2010.

For this reason, we use PAYPAL to process your payments (we never see your credit card details).

Your payment is processed directly by Paypal, who charge us a 4% fee, then credit our PAYPAL account with the balance)

PAYPAL are one of the biggest and most trusted payment processing companies on the Internet, owned by eBay.

But what's most important with Paypal is that they have one of the best buyer protection programs available.

Simply put, you have 60 days to lodge a complaint with PAYPAL if you don't receive your goods.

If you lodge a complaint, PAYPAL will deduct the money OUT of our account, whilst they investigate your concerns. And unless we can show them (and you) proof the goods were dispatched, they will simply refund your purchase.

Here is that policy as shown here:

Buyer Complaint Policy

If you pay a seller who does not ship the promised goods, you should first contact the seller and attempt to resolve the dispute. If you are unable to resolve the dispute in this manner, you should then file a Buyer Complaint Form with PayPal as soon as possible. The Buyer Complaint Form may be found by going to the "Resolution Center" link in the header of the Account Overview page.

PayPal will investigate your claim, contact the seller and, if the seller does not present appropriate proof of shipment, a full refund or other evidence of a satisfactory resolution, PayPal will seek to collect the amount you paid from the seller. PayPal may also limit the seller's access to his or her PayPal account. You will be entitled to the return of any and all funds PayPal is able to collect from the seller for funds received by PayPal prior to the seller's account status having been changed to limited access.

All our orders are dispatched with online tracking, and in the unlikely event Australia Post loses your package, all orders are fully insured before we dispatch them.

So no matter what happens, you're protected by PAYPAL, as well as protected by postage Insuarance.

We believe in total customer satisfaction, and recognise trust is very important to you as an online shopper.

Do you have an outlet in Sydney? [or Melbourne]

No - Since radar detectors are banned from being advertised for sale in NSW and Victoria, you won't find any shops selling them. The only states that are legal to sell them are WA and QLD

I have a Landcruiser Prado and I am considering the above unit with a hardwire kit fitting the unit on the windscreen or clipping it to the sunvisor. Is this a satisfactory method.?

Yes, so long as you don't mount the radar detector behind anything metal, it can be mounted anywhere that has a clear view of the road ahead, including on the dash, on the windscreen or on the sunvisor. Just remmeber that being undetectable to police Radar Detector Detectors (RDDs) doesn't mean a nosy police officer could spot it on your dash when you drive through a RBT or other check point.

Hi i live in country nsw and want to buy a good quality non detectable radar detector and want a price with postage to cowra nsw

The Escort Redline is the best portable detector, but if you want a built in unit, then the choose either the Beltronics (Bel) STi-R PLUS or the Escort 9500ci. Both are undetectable and hidden into your car. All our prices include freight anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

Hi, I'm interested in buying one of your dectectors. Just wondering which one picks up the most, is accurate and also has great range?

This one (the Escort Redline) has the greatest range of a portable unit, and the Escort 9500ci has the greatest range of any built in (to your car) radar detector.

Hi just a few questions about the Escort Redline detector. I live in NSW and understand about all the laws. Does the Redline need to be mounted on the dash or close to the windscreen, or can it be hidden inside the dash? As you know in NSW we have to hide it best as possible but still don't want to lose or impact on its antenna or signal strength but still want a portable detector. Also these new mobile speed cameras in the back of cars in NSW, the Redline will pick up them? Im trying to find a detector that will pick up all siginals from fixed the new mobile and HWY patrol but portable and stealth. I understand ill need a blinder etc if i want to pick up laser guns.

You can mount a radar detector behind anything that is NOT metal, and it will still detect radar (since radar will pass through glass, plastic, fibre-glass, fabric, people etc) but it doesn't penetrate metal as well. This includes window tinting or even window treating that has a metalic film (some front windscreens have this metalic film to reduce heat. These types of windscreens are known as ATHERMIC windscreens).

But if you want to detect laser, then what ever you are mounting the radar detector behind / in must have a see-through front section, as laser is a form of light, and won't set off your detector if it's mounted behind anything not see-through.

But since detecting laser is pretty much a waste of time (laser guns get your speed faster than you can hit the brakes) then you could always hide the detector in the dash, and use a seprate laser defence system such as the Blinder.

So essentially, as long as there is no metal in front of the radar detector, it wil still detect radar.

Lastly, yes the Redline will detect the new NSW mobile speed cameras, but NO it won't detect any fixed speed cameras, red light cameras, or combo red light / speed cameras. This is because these fixed type of cameras use sensors built into the road, and do not use radar or laser to measure your speed.

Only a GPS type device can alert you to these type of fixed speed cameras. The only two undetectable / stealth radar detectors that have GPS built in are the Beltronics STi-R PLUS and the Escort 9500ci.

The portable Escort 9500ix has GPS but is not stealth!
